Content Policy

Unsloppy AI is a manuscript editor for creative fiction. We support creative freedom across all genres while drawing two firm lines: no sexual content involving minors, and no explicit sexual content depicting real, identifiable people without their consent. We also remove material that violates United States federal law or the laws of California, where the Service is operated.

1. Allowed Content

Unsloppy AI welcomes fiction across all genres, including:

• Romance, including dark romance and morally complex narratives.
• Thriller, mystery, horror, and suspense.
• Fantasy, paranormal, dystopian, and speculative fiction.
• Literary fiction exploring difficult or mature themes.
• Mature themes (violence, sex between consenting adult characters, substance use, abuse depicted in context) handled within a fictional frame.

2. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination:

Absolute Prohibitions

• Minor-involved sexual content: Any sexual depiction of characters under 18, regardless of fictional context.
• Real-person sexual fiction: Explicit content depicting real, named individuals without their consent.
• Content promoting real-world violence: Instructions, glorification, or encouragement of actual violence, terrorism, or self-harm.
• Non-consensual real imagery: Deepfakes, revenge content, or any non-consensual real media.

Restricted Content (Requires Appropriate Tags)

• Graphic violence: Graphic violence or gore must be tagged appropriately so readers can make informed choices.
• Mature themes: Content exploring sensitive topics (abuse, self-harm, substance use) in a fictional context should be tagged.

3. Content Tagging

Authors are responsible for accurately tagging their stories with appropriate genres and content warnings. Mislabeled content may be reclassified or removed by moderators.

4. Reporting

If you encounter content that violates this policy, use the in-story report button or email admin@unsloppy.ai. We review all reports within 48 hours.

5. Enforcement

• First violation (non-absolute): Content removed, warning issued.
• Second violation: Content removed, 7-day suspension.
• Third violation or absolute prohibition: Permanent account termination.

6. AI Safety

The AI providers we route through (listed in our Privacy Policy) apply their own safety filters in addition to our Content Policy. If a generation request is refused, the prompt or context triggered either a provider filter or our policy. These filters exist to comply with our model provider agreements and with United States federal law, including 18 U.S.C. § 2256 (sexual depictions of minors) and 18 U.S.C. § 875 (interstate threats).
